About Us

Humility of Mary Housing, Inc. (HMHI) offers a supportive and structured living program for single-parent families. Our parents choose and work to achieve goals that will increase their educational standing and/or employment skills, thus increasing their potential for earned income. This helps them transition from our program into housing of their own choosing, supporting themselves and their children.

The Congregation (Sisters) of the Humility of Mary founded Humility of Mary Housing, Inc. (HMHI) in response to an unmet need of the Quad City area.

Homelessness remains a horrifying reality for too many people. We serve approximately 80 families each year, this includes about 150 children. We have over four times that number of inquiries for services, but due to limited funding and space, we can accept only a small percentage of those in need.
